Home Automation Service

The LifeGuard SmartHome IP Dialler can be used to provide smart home automation features, e.g. to automatically turn on/off power points and lights, or even to lock or unlock your doors. You can control these features from your smart device, or the nurse from INS LifeGuard can control them if needed during an emergency (e.g. to unlock your front door to allow emergency services to enter).


There is no cost for using the home automation service, but depending on the features you wish to use, you will need to purchase specific accessories below.

Home Security Service

The LifeGuard SmartHome IP Dialler can also be connected to monitored Infra-Red Beams (PIRs), thus providing home security by monitoring movement in and around your home. This can provide added peace of mind, helping to ensure your family and your home are safe. This service incurs a monthly monitoring fee and requires the purchase of our PIR beam.

    There are a lot of things that you can automate in your home with INS LifeGuard's smart home devices and services. From your lighting to your security system, we have the smart home solution that can make your life a little bit easier – and a lot more comfortable.


    Here are the things that you can automate in your home with the LifeGuard SmartHome:


    1. Lighting


    With INS LifeGuard's inline lighting controller, you can control all the lights in your home from your smart device. So, if you’re ever in a rush and forget to turn the lights off, or schedule your lights to turn on or off automatically at specified periods of the day, you can do it with INS LifeGuard's home automation systems.


    2. Security system


    Gone are the days when you had to worry about your family or your loved one's safety before you went to bed – now, you can make sure that everyone's safe and secure with INS LifeGuard's Infra-Red Beams (PIRs). Our PIR beams are a smart device designed to monitor movement inside and around your home, thereby providing a monitored household security system.


    3. Door locks


    If you want to lock all your doors from the comfort of your bed, or if you want to let someone into your home without having to stand up from your seat, then you should get a door strike from INS LifeGuard. One of our many innovations in the home automation space, the door strike gives you the ability to lock or unlock doors via a smart device. And in the event of an emergency, a nurse from INS LifeGuard's response centre can grant remote access to emergency responders so they can enter the front door without any hurdles.


    4. Appliances/Power points


    From your coffee machine to your oven, you can power on/off any appliances or power points in your home with our Remote Power Switch. This smart home automation accessory is perfect if you have hard-to-reach appliances that you use on a daily basis.
