INS LifeGuard offers two of the best medical alert devices for seniors in Australia: the LifeGuard SafetyWatch and the LifeGuard SmartTracker.
The SafetyWatch and SmartTracker are rapid-response medical alert devices that are designed to help Australian seniors maintain safe and independent living.
By simply pressing the HELP button, you can establish contact with our 24/7 Emergency Response Centre and speak with one of our nurses who will always be ready to address your concern. But even if you are unable to respond, the built-in GPS locator on each device guarantees that we will still be able to find you in the middle of an emergency and offer you assistance.
The LifeGuard SmartTracker can be worn around the neck or on a belt clip, whereas the SafetyWatch is worn on the wrist like a normal watch. Both utilise the same cellular phone technology as a mobile device, making them user-friendly without complicated features. The devices can also function as a fall detector.*

Our LifeGuard SafetyWatch and LifeGuard SmartTracker are among the best on-the-go personal alarms. Featuring a two-way voice communication and a built-in GPS tracking locator, we can speak to you directly, locate you, and send emergency assistance.
INS LifeGuard offers the best fall detection devices for managing falls among the elderly and lone workers in Australia — the LifeGuard SafetyWatch and the LifeGuard SmartTracker.
Basically, our fall detection solutions (which can be worn like a pendant, watch, or clipped on a belt) automatically alert one of our nurses when a sudden impact followed by inactivity is detected.
We also have a mobile app that enables you to use your compatible phone as a personal alarm while on the go. With our INS LifeGuardian® app, you can quickly send an alert to our 24/7 response centre with a simple press of a button.
What's more, some of our fall detection devices also include a GPS position tracker, enabling us to locate you precisely in case an emergency happens while you are away from home. Having all of these device features, our personal alarms and fall detection systems are indeed the best choice for Australians who are at risk of falls.*

Unfortunately, Medicare Australia does not cover medical alert devices in general. However, if you have been diagnosed with a certain illness and our INS LifeGuard medical alert devices were included in your prescribed treatment, you may be given a discount or healthcare coverage to reimburse their costs.

The LifeGuard SmartTracker or SafetyWatch has sensing devices called accelerometers that can detect movement and sense whether you may have had a fall. However, falls don't always result in a sudden impact, so you should always press your alarm button on your Fall Sensor after experiencing a fall, if you're able to.
Medical alert systems are not covered by Part A or Part B of the original Medicare program. However, these medical alert devices might be covered by some Medicare Advantage plans in Part C.
Generally referred to as original Medicare, Medicare includes:
Part A - Hospitalization Insurance
Part B - Medical Insurance
Part C - Medicare Advantage
Part D - Prescription Drug Coverage
The Australian Government has created the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to offer financial support to individuals with disabilities. This funding can be used to cover the costs of purchasing the necessary medical products and services that you need to live safely and independently. This includes our medical alert watch, the LifeGuard SafetyWatch, and our medical alert pendant, the LifeGuard SmartTracker.
A medical alert watch and a necklace are both equally important as they have the same function, which is to give you the ability to easily call for help in case there's an emergency. So you can choose the option that best suits you.

In the event of an emergency, press the button of your LifeGuard personal medical alarm. A nurse on our emergency response centre will get notified and will call you immediately on your emergency unit.
The nurse will evaluate the situation and send any necessary assistance whether it be emergency services or one of your emergency contacts such as a relative, neighbour, or acquaintance. If the nurse is unable to get in touch with you by voice, an ambulance will be sent to your location.
Depending on your needs and preference, we may also provide a Fall Sensor that automatically triggers an alarm when a fall is detected.*
